When we’re submitted, He’s committed. © ~Steve Atkinson

The word submit, submitted, or submission is controversial for many because it evokes feelings of fear, which often is based on an inability to trust. But did you know that one of the Biblical definitions for this word, in all of its forms, is to yield?

The first thing I think of when I hear “yield” is not anything negative, but a giving of the right of way, a trusting.

I love what my co-author of Transform, the Series © says when referring to submitting to God as well as in marriage: He says it is a form of protection.

What would our relationships look like if we were to change our perspective on this controversial word? To put it in Steve’s words: when we are submitted, He is committed. In other words, to submit is to commit, trusting that He has your best interest in His heart.

Truthfully,
Kim-Evinda
