At Trench Classes United, we are dedicated to helping individuals connect their past to their present for a better future. Our program, Transform, The Series ©, empowers participants to thrive in life and love. Your willingness to volunteer plays a crucial role in this transformative journey.

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunity:

We are hosting an interactive luncheon to introduce our program to leaders of transitional homes, treatment centers, and women’s shelters. This event aims to equip formerly abused individuals with tools for a better future, breaking cycles that have kept them stuck. We also seek to work with men, providing tools to combat destructive behaviors and fulfill their potential for themselves and their families.

Volunteer Roles Needed:

• Setup and Tear-down: Assist with preparing the venue before the event and restoring it afterward.
• Greeters and Seaters: Welcome guests and guide them to their seats, ensuring a warm and organized experience.
• Decorations: Help create an inviting atmosphere through thoughtful décor.
• Servers: Assist in serving meals and refreshments to our guests.

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities:

Beyond event-specific roles, we have various ongoing opportunities:

• Website Update & Maintenance: Review and update our website weekly (approximately 3 hours). Skills: Understanding of WordPress, internet, and social media.
• Social Media Networking: Help spread our message via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn with posts twice daily (approximately 5-7 hours weekly). Skills: Social media savvy, outgoing, engaging.
• Photographer: Capture moments from our fundraisers, book signings, classes, and other events. Skills: Photography, editing, uploading/downloading digital files.
• Videographer: Create digital stories from our events. Skills: Editing, YouTube uploading, downloading, transferring files into digital format.
• General Office Support: Assist with answering phones, light filing, and daily duties. Skills: Good attitude, phone manners, basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Childcare: Provide care for children while parents participate in our programs (once a week, 2.5 hours). Skills: Love for children, CPR certification, and passing a background check.
