What do we do when we need to take a leap of faith? What does that even look like?
Thanks for joining us for Monday’s Message with Abigail Rice and Trench Classes United. All of us at one time or another have had to make a decision that would take us to unknow territory. Today’s poem is for such a time as this.
I used to believe stepping into your calling and purpose would mean everything would come naturally
and easy
That you would finally be free from worrying and wondering if you were doing the right thing
The truth is
Your calling is simply to be a child of the King
and your purpose is to have faith and believe
Because only then will you be set free
Seasons come and go
Your assignment changes as you grow
and the more you walk in your purpose
The narrower the road
In your walk
You will grow tired
You will get weary
You will hear whispers from the enemy
That will make you believe
This isn’t for me…
Stay strong
You will learn to talk to God
To take captive your thoughts
You have the power
and the authority
To bring the devil to his knees
It’s only up to you to believe
I used to believe walking in your purpose and calling would be easy
But the reality is
It makes you question everything
But one thing I do firmly believe
Is those questions lead to strength
When you seek Him day by day
You will falter
and you will fail
Because what you are fighting for
Is so much bigger than you
And walking in your calling
Is only something God can do
So rest in Him
and believe in His plan
He has already provided
All that you need
He is simply asking,
“Will you sit with me?”
“And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One). He did this that He might clearly demonstrate through the ages to come the immeasurable (limitless, surpassing) riches of His free grace (His unmerited favor) in [His] kindness and goodness of heart toward us in Christ Jesus. For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God;”
