When you think of something that is easy to give your all, what comes to mind?
Thanks for joining us for Monday’s Message with Abigail Rice and Trench Classes United. Today’s blog is a great reminder from a mommy of three to put our whole selves in as often as we can in this journey of life.
Living here in this space
Between
The dawn of creation
and eternal damnation
What does that mean?
Am I here to just fill space and time?
Or am I here to live this life with all my heart, soul, and mind?
The latter is my answer
But the former whispers
It doesn’t get any better
So I write this letter
To myself when I need help
A reminder of why I am here
and why I am called to live a life with no fear
Dear daughter,
You are loved
More than that you are tough
This life is rough
With words that become thoughts
And thoughts that 12-27become beliefs
That tend to hide in the darkness beneath
But here you are
A work of art
His masterpiece
So who are you to believe
That you aren’t enough
Or that you’re too much
So sick of life
So frustrated that you are stuck in this rut
This never ending cycle
That seems to pull you in
Until you feel you can no longer swim
But darling, remember this:
You are not here to swim
You are here to live
To walk on water
Holding the hand of the Potter
You are His clay
And day by day
You feel the cracks begin to break
But how many cracks will it take
Until you finally shatter
And all you hear is endless chatter
Telling you that you no longer matter
But darling, you do
You weren’t born to take this form
Merely to weep and mourn
We grieve because we know there is more
and daughter if you can just hold on a little bit longer
Take that rope
That rope called hope
And hold on tight
Leave that empty baggage behind
For you are a new creation
And you have a new mind
Now is your time
Rise
Rise into this life
Because you only get to go around one time
Stay in the fight
Walk with might
and be the light
that breaks through the darkness
and cracks stone made hearts
That believe they are Fatherless
Because you just might be the one
That saves another soul
and soon enough we’ll meet again
When we are finally clothed
In our eternal home
“For we know that if the tent which is our earthly home is destroyed (dissolved), we have from God a building, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. Here indeed, in this [present abode, body], we sigh and groan inwardly, because we yearn to be clothed over [we yearn to put on our celestial body like a garment, to be fitted out] with our heavenly dwelling,”
~ 2 Corinthians 5:1-2
